It's fair to say that science has a major influence on my work, especially when it comes to my latest photomicrography projects. Brian Cox's series, 'The Wonders of', has been a very intriguing documentary for me to watch and has profoundly influenced my work, as it captivates my excitement of the world and the universe, but also delivers some excellent visuals, which ultimately enhances my inspiration when thinking about new projects to create.

With this set of photographs I decided to present them through a landscape book layout, which is a new style for me and I combined them with quotes from Brian Cox, to tribute the inspiration gained from the documentaries.

The shots them selves are microscopic photographs of salt structures, which I found astonishing to capture, as they portray the shape and structure of huge ice blocks, but infact are no bigger than 0.5cm.

These images portray my constant curiousty and wonder of lifes structures, through the detail of these tiny granules you are presented with imagery which could represent something alien or abstract, when infact it is an object which we consume and use nearly everyday.
